Gastronomic novelties at the Bairro Alto Hotel
The arrival of summer can be synonymous of new cocktails but also of fresh and light dishes to taste. New salads at the Ba Terrace and at Café Bar Ba, as well as the launching of new tastes at the Flores do Bairro Restaurant are the latest novelties proposed by Chef Vasco Lello for this season.
Duck Salad – duck breast, apple and celery with mayonnaise, mixed lettuce, orange slices and orange vinaigrette, and Tuna Salad – home-made tuna conserves, green beans, carrots, onion, mixed lettuce, partridge eggs and caper vinaigrette; these are the two new salads available at the Ba Terrace and at the Café Bar Ba. Gazpacho with sardine and oregano toast, beef ham with raisins and nuts vinaigrette, Tuna Carpaccio with lemon vinaigrette and chives, Fish soup with mint and Duck gizzard with tomato sauce are the new “appetizers” for tasting in the menu.
For fish, the novelty is the Roasted Cod with warm chickpeas, tomato and spinach salad; as for the meat, the chef has two new suggestions: Black pork sirloin with clams, “Alentejana” style, and Roast Beef at Flores do Bairro. For those who are not fans of fish nor meat, the new menu choices include a Goat Cheese salad with flowers and pine nuts and a Peas and Basil Risotto.
